Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to independently perform core service functions on fire alarm systems. You will diagnose issues, perform maintenance, and complete service calls without direct supervision, using test equipment and drawings to ensure code-compliant operation.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years in the field, and a NICET Level 2+ preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET Level 2 or above preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years in fire and life safety as a technician.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm systems and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and service of fire alarm systems independently.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions.
• Complete standard service calls without direct supervision.
• Interpret system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to perform tasks.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and policies.
• Complete service reports, documentation, and inspection records.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
