Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to install, program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control and CCTV at customer sites across Florida.

You will handle panel repairs, device replacements, networked fire alarm focus, and collaborate with dispatch to manage work orders. The role requires 3+ years in low voltage systems, a high school diploma,Blueprint literacy, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety Systems
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals and manuals
• Ability to carry/move equipment up to 50–70 lbs
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding and high lifts up to 40 ft
• Willingness to work weekends and travel overnight
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug test
• Must obtain/maintain required licenses per codes
• Basic understanding of network concepts and architectures

Responsibilities

• Install/programm Fire Alarm, security, and CCTV systems at customer sites
• Troubleshoot and repair system issues promptly
• Participate in after-hours service program
• Read/interpret blueprints, diagrams, specs, and manuals
• Supervise installation to meet specs and safety standards
• Complete certification courses on products used
• Document tasks and activity promptly
