Job summary

Wachter, Inc. seeks a self-motivated Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Access Control Service Technician for work at various retail locations across the United States.

The role involves installation, troubleshooting, and servicing IP video, access control, intrusion, and LAN/WAN infrastructure, with an emphasis on safety and compliance. The ideal candidate has field experience, can read blueprints, and communicates well with customers.

Qualifications

• Fire Alarm Specialty Technician License for the State of Michigan is required.
• NICET certification preferred.
• Current/valid state Life Safety and/or Physical Security licenses required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems and equipment in IP Video, Access Control / Intrusion Alarm / LAN/WAN infrastructure, and wireless LAN.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial buildings, including drilling concrete walls and limited conduit bending work.
• Ensure compliance of Fire Alarm and Access Control systems with codes and contractual requirements.
