Job summary

Oliver Fire Protection & Security is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician – Programmer to join our team. You’ll program, commission, service, repair, and maintain fire alarm systems, ensuring high-quality work and compliance with NFPA 72 codes while delivering outstanding customer service.

Company vehicle is provided, and entry-level candidates may have growth potential into lead technician roles with training opportunities.

Qualifications

Experience programming and commissioning fire alarm systems.
Knowledge of NFPA 72 codes.
Ability to service and repair fire alarm systems.
Documentation of inspections and repairs.
Willingness to participate in on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

Program fire alarm systems according to specifications and design requirements while meeting NFPA 72 code requirements.
Perform service work on fire alarm systems, including device replacement, wiring repairs, circuit troubleshooting, and related repairs.
Conduct NFPA 72 inspection and testing of fire alarm systems on a scheduled basis.
Complete required inspection, service, and repair documentation accurately and on time.
Respond to service calls and perform repair work on existing fire alarm systems.
Participate in the on-call schedule for after-hours service needs.
Represent Oliver professionally with customers and help build strong customer relationships.
Participate in education and training classes to continue building technical knowledge and skills.
