Job summary

Shambaugh & Son, L.P. in Michigan is seeking a Fire Alarm Manager to oversee all aspects of the Fire Alarm Division, including personnel and project execution in Kalamazoo and South Bend. You will lead a team, drive profitability, and coordinate with general contractors to deliver high-quality systems.

The role requires strong estimating skills, long hours, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. NICET II certification or willingness to obtain is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in Fire Alarm.
• Estimating and job costing experience preferred.
• Experience working with General Contractors.
• Ability to communicate well and lead a team.
• NICET II certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Grow a regional Fire Alarm Department (Kalamazoo & South Bend).
• Sell and execute projects within the division.
• Review inspection reporting and price deficiencies.
• Order all Fire Alarm parts.
• Hire and manage Fire Alarm Technicians.
• Manage all personnel and projects in the Division.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for the growth of a regional Fire Alarm Department (Kalamazoo & South Bend)
• Ability to sell and execute projects.
• Review inspection reporting and price deficiencies as required.
• Responsible for the ordering of all Fire Alarm parts
• Responsible for the hiring and management of Fire Alarm Technicians.
• Manage all personnel and projects in the Division.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Expert level estimating and job costing experience preferred
• Experience in working with General Contractors
• Experience in high paced work environment.
• Ability to communicate well with others and lead a team
• NICET ll or willingness to obtain
• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
