Job summary

Everon is seeking a System Designer II to lead the design and evaluation phase of life safety projects, serving as the technical advisor to Sales and Operations. You will translate specs into code-compliant layouts and coordinate with teams to optimize solutions.

The role requires 5–10 years in fire alarm and life safety systems, NICET II certification (III/IV preferred), and strong AutoCAD/Microsoft Office skills. Remote work options available with national scope.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years engineering fire alarm and life safety systems or related experience.
  • Proficiency in fire alarm system programming, startup, checkout, and troubleshooting preferred.
  • Ability to manage heavy workloads and set priorities.
  • Adapt to changes in work environment and deadlines; manage competing demands.

Responsibilities

  • Design fire alarm and life safety systems per codes and standards.
  • Develop system layouts from project specs, RFPs, and plans.
  • Prepare scope of work, product selection, and installation approaches.
  • Create as-built documentation and redesign/estimate as needed.
  • Collaborate with sales/operations to ensure accurate estimates and layouts.
