Job summary

Everon is seeking a drafting designer to create floor plans in AutoCAD and perform system design for fire alarm and sprinkler projects in the Denver area. You will support pre-sale activities, assist with estimates, and guide post-sale design choices while coordinating with sales and engineering teams to meet project objectives.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of AutoCAD drafting experience, strong reading of blueprints, and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset to ensure accuracy and timely

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints, schematics and drawings in English.
• Ability to collaborate with internal/external teams and end users.
• Proven attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
• Familiarity with NFPA codes is a plus.
• Willingness to learn fire alarm and sprinkler design concepts.

Responsibilities

• Create background floor plans in AutoCAD from scanned or hardcopy floor plans.
• Perform takeoffs and prepare counts of equipment from floor plans.
• Support sales team with pre-sale site visits, design and estimating.
• Lead post-sale design including equipment choices.
• Review plans and specifications prepared by others for consistency.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and maintain project documentation.
