Job summary

Patriot Fire Protection is seeking a Fire Alarm Installer in Washington to install, program, test, and service fire alarm systems at customer sites across our service area. You will work hands-on from installation to programming, ensuring compliance with NFPA and NEC standards and documenting work thoroughly.

This role emphasizes safety, technical growth, and the ability to interact with customers and authorities.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • EL-06 License is required.
  • NICET II is preferred but not required.
  • 4+ years in fire alarm installation.
  • 2+ years in fire alarm inspections, maintenance, and/or repairs.
  • Understanding of NEC (low voltage) and NFPA 72.
  • Familiarity with water-based fire sprinkler systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Capable of carrying/moving equipment up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to work full-time with a flexible schedule.
  • Drug screening and background checks after conditional offer.

  • Test and inspect fire alarm systems, batteries, and electrical wiring.
  • Ensure work complies with relevant codes including NFPA standards.
  • Complete inspection and correction reports and maintain required records.
  • Convey system operations to customers and respond to emergency service calls.

What You'll Do:

What We’re Looking For:
  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • EL-06 License (required)
  • NICET II (preferred but not required)
  • 4+ years in fire alarm installation
  • 2+ years in fire alarm inspections, maintenance, and/or repairs
  • Understanding of NEC (low voltage) and NFPA 72
  • Familiarity with water-based fire sprinkler systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment, utility vaults (confined spaces), above ceilings, etc.
  • Able to work a full-time yet flexible schedule
  • Drug screening and background checks will only be conducted after a conditional job offer is made. We evaluate criminal history based on its relevance to the job duties.
  • This is a Safety Sensitive position. All candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive pre-employment drug screening test, including testing for marijuana/THC/cannabis, regardless of state law or medical authorization, as a condition of employment.
  • Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
