Job summary

Patriot Fire Protection, Inc. is actively seeking a Fire Alarm Installer to design, install, program and service fire alarm systems at customer sites in Washington.

You will test systems, verify wiring and batteries, and ensure compliance with NFPA codes while documenting inspections and service reports. The ideal candidate has 4+ years in fire alarm installation, 2+ years in inspections or maintenance, and a valid EL-06 license, with NICET II preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• EL-06 License is required.
• NICET II is preferred but not required.
• 4+ years in fire alarm installation.
• 2+ years in fire alarm inspections, maintenance, and/or repairs.
• Understanding of NEC and NFPA 72.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, repair, program and configure fire alarm systems at customer sites.
• Test and inspect fire alarm systems, batteries and electrical wiring.
• Ensure work complies with relevant codes including NFPA standards.
• Complete inspection and correction reports and maintain records.
• Convey system operations to customers and respond to emergency service calls.

What You’ll Do:

• Installation & Programming:Install, maintain, repair, program and configure fire alarm systems and equipment at customer sites
• Testing:Test and inspect fire alarm systems, batteries and electrical wiring

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• EL-06 License (required)
• NICET II (preferred but not required)
• 4+ years in fire alarm installation
• 2+ years in fire alarm inspections, maintenance, and/or repairs
• Understanding of NEC (low voltage) and NFPA 72
• Familiarity with water‑based fire sprinkler systems
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs
• Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment, utility vaults (confined spaces), above ceilings, etc.
• Able to work a full‑time yet flexible schedule
• Drug screening and background checks will only be conducted after a conditional job offer is made. We evaluate criminal history based on its relevance to the job duties.
• This is a Safety Sensitive position. All candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive pre‑employment drug screening test, including testing for marijuana/THC/cannabis, regardless of state law or medical authorization, as a condition of employment.
• Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record
