Job summary

Century Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installer to install, program, and test fire alarm systems in Knoxville, TN. You will read and interpret drawings, install control panels and equipment, and ensure adherence to codes and project specs.

Ideal candidates have a High school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of related experience. We offer growth in a leading Southeast fire protection company with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to read and interpret fire alarm/electrical drawings and specifications.
• 1–3 years of related experience or training preferred.
• Fire alarm/low-voltage installation experience is a plus.

• Install devices, conduit, and wiring per drawings and codes.
• Test and troubleshoot system performance; complete acceptance testing with AHJ.

Protect what matters.Century Fire Protection is looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Installer to install, program, and test fire alarm systems according to project drawings, specifications, and applicable codes. This is a hands-on opportunity to build your skills while installing systems that protect people and property.️ What You’ll DoRead and interpret fire alarm and electrical drawings and specifications.Review drawings and verify job materials and parts.Install and program fire alarm control panels and related equipment.Install devices, conduit, and wiring according to design drawings and applicable codes.Drill, route, and install cabling in areas including crawlspaces and attics.Troubleshoot system issues and test devices and components for proper operation.Perform final acceptance testing with the AHJ.Complete reports and documentation required to certify system installation.Perform other duties as assigned. What You BringHigh school diploma or GED.1–3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Fire alarm and/or low-voltage installation experience preferred.Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Willingness to work safely and efficiently in a variety of job site environments.
