Job summary

RCM Fire, a Guardian Fire Services Company, is seeking a Fire Alarm Installer/Technician to install and upgrade fire alarm systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings in California. You will work with in-house design teams to ensure code compliance and proper functioning of life-saving systems.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in fire alarm installation, a California State Fire Alarm Blue Card or ability to test within 6 months, strong schematics reading, and a valid driver’s

Qualifications

• 3–5 years minimum experience in fire alarm installation, maintenance, or repair.
• California Blue Card State Fire Alarm certification required or must test within 6 months.
• Strong reading of schematics and technical documents (blueprints, electrical schematics, manuals).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in confined spaces with training.

Responsibilities

• Install new fire alarm systems (New Construction, Retrofit or TI) per Approved Drawings and Addenda.
• Upgrade or modernize outdated systems with new technology.
• Daily communications with Department Superintendent with status updates at end of each service call or workday.
• Perform basic programming for electronic components of fire alarm systems.
• Collaborate with technicians, electricians, building managers, subcontractors and inspectors for code compliance.
