Job summary

Bay Alarm is a family-owned security company seeking a field technician to inspect and test fire alarm systems and perform basic sprinkler inspections in California. You will coordinate with local fire departments, repair or report issues to the service department, and communicate test results to customers.

We offer 40-hour weeks with overtime opportunities, a day-shift schedule, and a company vehicle with gas card. Valid driver’s license and pre-employment screening are required.

Qualifications

• No experience required.
• 1-2 years experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years post high-school education preferred.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required.
• Final applicant will need to have the ability to pass a pre-employment screening process.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fire alarm system response.
• Coordinate with fire department to avoid response to test.
• Repair system if necessary or inform Service Department of customer needs.
• Inform Service Department of customer needs.
• Advise customer of test results.
• Perform sprinkler inspection service, as required by California Code Regulations, Title 19.
• All other miscellaneous responsibilities and other duties as assigned.
