Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking an Inspector to perform building fire alarm inspections, test panels and devices, and document findings. The role supports the Lead Inspector and Inspection Manager by collecting data and producing required paperwork and certificates.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• NFPA standards knowledge for inspection/testing of fire protection systems.
• NICET certification encouraged and ongoing learning.
• Strong written and verbal communication; customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform building fire alarm inspections, testing devices and recording results.
• Enter test results into Palm handheld device and generate inspection reports.
• Prepare Fire Alarm Inspection Reports, Quick Reports and Inspection Certificates as needed.
• Assist Lead Inspector or Inspection Manager with data collection and paperwork.
• Attend monthly team meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
