Job summary

Snowdon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to join an established fire protection company in Virginia. You will inspect, test, service and troubleshoot fire alarm systems at customer sites, and complete inspection reports to help keep systems compliant with NFPA codes.

Depending on experience, you may assist with fire sprinkler and clean agent suppression systems. Entry-level candidates are welcome with training provided, and overtime/on-call rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with fire alarm systems and related standards.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and ability to identify deficiencies.
• NICET certification is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, service and troubleshoot fire alarm systems at customer sites.
• Complete inspection reports and support customers in keeping systems compliant with standards.
• Assist with fire sprinkler and clean agent suppression systems as needed.
• Communicate clearly with customers and team members to ensure safety and reliability.

Skills

Fire alarm systems experience

Siemens/Notifier systems knowledge

NFPA codes familiarity

NICET certification preferred

Valid driver’s license

Willingness for on-call overtime

Pay: $30–$42 per hour plus door to door pay!

The Role

You’ll inspect, test, service and troubleshoot fire alarm systems at customer sites. You’ll also complete inspection reports and help customers keep their systems in working order and compliant with applicable standards.

Depending on your experience and the work required, you may also assist with fire sprinkler and clean agent suppression systems.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working with fire alarm systems; knowledge of Siemens or Notifier systems is a plus
• Understanding of applicable NFPA codes and the ability to identify deficiencies
• NICET certification is preferred
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Willingness to work overtime and take part in an after-hours emergency on-call rotation when needed
• Good communication and organizational skills
• A reliable, motivated approach and the ability to work safely both independently and as part of a team
