Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Fire Alarm Inspector to join our team in Duluth, GA. You will test and inspect fire-alarm systems in assigned buildings and report any problems, ensuring safety, quality, and high customer satisfaction on all projects.

You will work with a dynamic team, have opportunities to grow with the company, and travel locally as needed while maintaining high standards of safety and service.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
• Solid test and inspection skills for fire alarm systems.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision.
• Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude with hand tools.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication.
• Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Advanced computer skills including MS Office and Building Reports.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel locally to jobsites; minimal overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect commercial fire-alarm systems within assigned buildings.
• Operate systems to demonstrate equipment, commission new systems, and analyze performance.
• Identify and report problems or discrepancies found in the systems you inspect.
• Review reports and initiate next steps as necessary.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Interact with building owner or engineer during testing process.
• Monitor the fire-alarm panel and ensure customer satisfaction with inspections.
• Work closely with Service Supervisor and coordinators for overall inspection coordination.
