Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Inspector to perform routine inspections and testing of Simplex Fire Alarm Systems and similar equipment. You will work with low voltage wiring, complete documented service acknowledgements, and maintain an organized inspection schedule across a broad range of applications.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
• Ability to perform physical labor.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Installation or Service experience in testing and inspecting Fire Alarm Equipment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect fire alarm systems and perform routine inspections and testing.
• Work with low voltage wiring and related devices for operation of low voltage equipment.
• Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through devices.
• Maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via mobile device.
• Complete assigned inspections on time.
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs.
• Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
