Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an Inspector to perform routine inspections, testing, service and preventive maintenance on Fire Alarm equipment. You will handle low voltage wiring, document work via laptops, and follow a structured inspection schedule.

The role requires lifting up to 70 lbs, valid driver's license, and ability to work weekends or alternative shifts as needed. Hourly range is $17–$23 with competitive benefits, reflecting education and experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET I certification within 1 year of employment expected.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.
• Ability to perform physical labor including lifting up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Test and inspect fire alarm systems for existing and new customers.
• Maintain proper documentation of work performed using provided tools.
• Work with low voltage wiring and related devices.
• Complete service acknowledgements with proper coding via laptop or paper.
• Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
• Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via mobile device.
