Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking an Inspector to conduct routine inspections and testing of Simplex Fire Alarm Systems and similar products. You will work with low voltage wiring, complete service acknowledgements, and input/archive inspection data via mobile devices.

Maintain an organized inspection schedule and perform duties safely and professionally. Responsibilities include testing systems for a growing customer base, maintaining proper documentation, and following instructions.

Formación

• Experience with testing and inspecting fire alarm equipment is required.
• Strong communication and documentation skills are essential.
• Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Carry and move equipment and tools up to 70 lbs; work in ladders or scaffolding when needed.
• Work flexible shifts including weekends to meet customer needs.

What you will do

Inspectors are responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on Simplex Fire Alarm Systems as well as similar competitive manufacturers’ product lines. Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment. Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop computers and/or hard copy. Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule. Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via mobile device. Complete assigned inspections on time. Perform other duties as assigned.

• Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures
• Follow verbal and written instructions
• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs
• Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions; such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment
• Must be able to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer needs
• Must perform all duties in a safe and professional manner & maintain a clean and safe work area

• Basic computer skills – Microsoft (Excel, Word, Outlook) along with SmartPhone skills

HIRING HOURLY RANGE:

$20-$26 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflectsthe target compensation for this role.
