This role requires 1–3 years in inspection tech within fire protection, strong NFPA/IFC knowledge, and the ability to read drawings. Candidates with NICET I preferred and OSHA 10 desirable, with physical ability for lifting and climbing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of inspector technician experience in the fire detection and protection industry.
• Knowledge of current fire alarm and clean agent/special hazard fire suppression systems.
• Preferred NICET Level I.
• Intermediate knowledge of NFPA 72 and IFC code or state-adopted fire code requirements.
• Able to read technical drawings/diagrams and follow specifications.
• Physically fit to perform the demanding work, including lifting up to 25 pounds, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and able to obtain OSHA 10 certifications.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELLSciens Building Solutions is seeking a Fire Alarm Inspector to provide inspection and maintenance capabilities. This position will work closely with our sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure our customers’ systems are inspected and maintained in a code-compliant manner. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of executing projects. Customer and employee interface requires a high degree of effective human relations.
