Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an Associate Fire Alarm Inspector to support inspection and maintenance of fire alarm systems in the Delaware, Maryland and Virginia regions, including the Richmond area.

You will assist with system layouts, testing, reporting, and ensuring code compliance while working with sales and field teams. This role emphasizes safety, timely delivery, and clear communication.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Interest in learning the fire-life safety industry.
  • Familiarity with NFPA code requirements.
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 10 certification.
  • Physically able to perform demanding field work including lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Review system layouts and coordinate with the systems and service departments for testing and inspection.
  • Test and maintain fire alarm systems.
  • Deliver testing on schedule and within cost budgets.
  • Log and transmit inspection reports via technical device.
  • Work under tight deadlines and adhere to safety procedures.

THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELLSciens Building Solutions is seeking an Associate Fire Alarm Inspector to assist with inspection and maintenance capabilities in the Delaware, Maryland and Virginia areas. This position will work closely with our sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure our customers’ systems are inspected and maintained in a code-compliant manner. This is a key position for our growing team and requires attention to detail in all aspects of executing projects. Customer and employee interface requires a high degree of effective human relations.
