Qualifications

• Solid mechanical aptitude is required.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality are essential.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Complete all required apprentice applications.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Must pass a 10-panel drug test and criminal background check.
• NICET II certification preferred; other licenses are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret work orders and manuals.
• Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Use hand tools and small power tools.
• Assist senior technicians with inspecting and testing alarm systems and extinguishers per NFPA.
• Maintain clean and safe job sites.
• Perform basic calculations and measurements.
• Lifts and moves equipment up to 80 lbs.
• Learn NFPA 72 and related construction codes.
