Job summary

C&C Group is hiring a Fire Safety Field Engineer (Technician) for our Springfield, MO office. The role involves installing, programming, testing, and commissioning fire alarm systems, diagnosing and repairing issues, and ensuring projects meet quality standards and customer expectations.

Ideal candidates will have an associate degree or equivalent, knowledge of fire systems and safety codes, and strong troubleshooting, networking, and reading drawings abilities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of fire systems, electrical tools, networking, and life safety/security codes and standards.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation, including criminal and motor vehicle check.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test, and commission fire alarm systems on assigned projects.
• Troubleshoot and repair fire safety systems at customer locations.
• Ensure quality completion of projects and adherence to specifications.
• Read and interpret project plans, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Utilize hand tools and electrical instruments for mounting, assembling, testing, and programming systems.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve system issues efficiently.
• Document all work performed, including job reports and system records.
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout project execution.
