Job summary
Century Fire Protection is seeking a full-time Fire Alarm Installer/Technician to install, program, and test fire alarm systems per project drawings. Responsibilities include reading drawings, selecting parts, installing control panels, wiring, accessing crawl spaces or attics, performing tests, and completing final AHJ acceptance.
Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED with 1–3 years related experience; fire alarm or low voltage installation is preferred.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
- 1-3 years related experience or training preferred.
- Fire alarm and/or low voltage installation experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret fire alarm and electrical drawings and specifications.
- Review drawings and verify parts for the job are accurate.
- Install and program fire alarm control panels and other equipment.
- Mount devices, install conduit and wiring per drawings and codes.
- Perform installation tasks including drilling and accessing crawlspaces or attics for wiring layouts.
- Identify and repair troubles and test devices for proper operation.
- Perform final acceptance testing with AHJ.
- Produce reports and documentation certifying installation.
