FINITETEK INC is seeking a capable Fire Alarm Estimating and Design professional in Washington to develop precise material takeoffs, estimates, and detailed proposals for commercial and institutional projects.

You will design code-compliant fire alarm systems, prepare shop drawings, and coordinate with architects, AHJs, and project managers while developing permit packages. You’ll mentor field staff and provide technical guidance on complex systems.

Qualifications

• NICET Level III certification in fire alarm systems is required.
• FA-1 certification required or equivalent.
• Extensive NFPA 72/IBC/IFC/NEC knowledge and local codes.
• Experience designing and programming large commercial fire alarm systems.

Description du poste

Fire Alarm Estimating: Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate material takeoffs and labor estimates to prepare detailed proposals.

Fire Alarm System Design: Design code-compliant fire alarm systems for commercial and institutional projects. Prepare shop drawings, riser diagrams, battery calculations, voltage-drop calculations, and sequences of operation. Coordinate designs with architects, engineers, authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs), and project managers, and develop permit and submittal packages for customers and AHJs.

Technical Support and Field Operations: Serve as a technical resource for installation and service technicians. Lead advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, provide technical training and mentorship to field personnel, and help resolve service issues and urgent customer requests.

Qualifications:

• NICET Level III Certification in Fire Alarm Systems
• FA-1 Certificatio.
• Extensive knowledge of NFPA 72, IBC, IFC, NEC, and applicable local fire alarm codes
• Experience designing and programming large commercial fire alarm systems including networked systems, smoke control, mass notification, and voice evacuation systems
• Ability to produce compliant fire alarm system designs and submittal packages in Bluebeam. Experience with Fire CAD is a plus.
• Experience working with AHJ’s in western Washington for design approval and inspections.
• Outside sales, customer development, or account management experience.
• Experience estimating fire alarm projects from plans and specifications including ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and sequence of operations as required to develop system designs.
• Valid drivers license.
• Safe driving record with no major violations.
