Job summary

MK2 Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Designer / Engineer to join our team. We design fire alarm systems for commercial, institutional, government, and other building projects, with attention to code compliance and reliable performance.

You will prepare drawings, calculations, and specifications, coordinate with architects and other engineers, and support projects from design through construction. California project experience and NICET/PE are a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience designing fire alarm systems for building projects.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and applicable fire and life safety codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is a plus.
• Ability to prepare accurate drawings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Engineering degree, NICET certification, or PE license is a plus but not required.
• Experience with California projects is preferred.

Fire Alarm Designer / Engineer
