Job summary

Shambaugh & Son is seeking a Fire Alarm Designer to manage all aspects of fire alarm, VESDA, and related systems for our projects. The role involves collaboration with customers and internal teams to ensure design accuracy and timely progress.

You will operate AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, and Navisworks to develop robust designs while coordinating with field Superintendents and Project Managers to meet milestones and budgets. On-site work and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks for design tasks.
• Experience on large construction projects is preferred.
• Knowledge of fire alarm systems and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Design fire alarm, VESDA, and related systems for projects.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams on project status.
• Develop design schedules and assist with BOM and scheduling.
• Collaborate with field Superintendents and Project Managers.
