Job summary

Shambaugh & Son is seeking a Fire Alarm Designer responsible for managing all aspects of fire alarm, VESDA, and special hazard systems. You will work closely with project teams to design and integrate alarm and control systems.

The role requires experience in AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks, and prior work on large construction projects. Occasional extended hours and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in AutoCAD, Revit, or Navisworks.
• Experience in large construction projects preferred.
• Experience in Fire Alarm design.
• Experience in high paced, large construction projects preferred.
• Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Design and assist in fire alarm, VESDA, clean agent, and control systems.
• Coordinate project status communications with customers and internal teams.
• Develop design schedules to meet milestones and progress meetings.
• Assist with design, BOM, and scheduling as needed.
• Collaborate with field Superintendents and Project Managers to address project needs.
