Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience with fire alarm/fire suppression system design.
• NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (Level II minimum preferred).
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys to assess fire risks and building layouts.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and codes.
• Prepare shop drawings/plans using AutoCAD to meet codes and manufacturer requirements.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for enhancing fire safety in various environments.**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:*** Conducting site surveys to assess fire risks and building layouts.* Collaboration with architects, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements* Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and codes.* Prepare shop drawings/plans using AutoCAD that meet applicable codes and manufacturer requirements.* Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop detailed schematics and plans for fire alarm installations.* Prepare submittals and material lists.* Communicate with local officials, engineers, architects, and customers.* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, specifications, manufacturers manuals, and codes to produce designs and submittals to be reviewed by local officials.* Remain updated on advancements in fire alarm technology and regulations to ensure compliance and optimal system performance.* Other duties as assigned by manager.**Education/Qualification:*** Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience with fire alarm/fire suppression system design* NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems (Level II minimum preferred).* High School Diploma or equivalent required.* Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.* Experience with Notifier, Siemens, Firelite, or Silent Knight fire alarm system design preferred.* AutoCAD experience preferred.
