Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Senior Fire Alarm Designer to join our growing team in Denver, CO. This permanent role focuses on designing and reviewing fire alarm layouts, schematics, and drawings for commercial and industrial scale projects.

You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects, review blueprints, conduct site visits, and provide technical support during construction while staying current with fire alarm codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of fire alarm design experience for commercial/industrial projects.
• Proficient in design layout, schematics, and drawing review.
• Proficiency using AutoCAD and other design software.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed fire alarm system designs, including layout plans and schematics, based on project specifications and applicable codes.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure the fire alarm systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall design.
• Review and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and construction drawings.
• Conduct site visits to verify conditions and installation during construction.
• Provide technical support to the installation team during the construction phase.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire alarm system technologies, installation methods, and relevant codes and standards.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on the fire alarm system design progress.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and reviewing fire alarm design layouts, schematics, and drawings.

• Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or NICET Level III certification in Fire Alarm Systems is a plus.
