Job summary

Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers, Inc. seeks a Design Technician-Alarm to manage project design and submittals from inception to completion. You will layout sprinkler systems, perform hydraulics analyses, and coordinate with trades to ensure code-compliant installations.

The role requires fire alarm experience, NICET I certification, and proficiency with AutoCAD 2024+. REVIT knowledge is a plus, with strong math and multi-project skills essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of fire alarm experience.
• Minimum NICET Level I Fire Alarm certification.
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and Building Code.
• Experience with AutoCAD 2024 or later; REVIT is a plus.
• Strong mathematical and multi-project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Layout and draw fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD 2024+; include underground and overhead piping.
• Hydraulically calculate projects with Hydratec to optimize sizing.
• Conduct field surveys to verify structural elements and sprinkler spacing for code compliance.
• Submit drawings to authorities (building/fire) and coordinate with contractors and other trades.
