Job summary

You will ensure drawings meet project plans and NFPA 72 requirements, review documents, and drive cost-effective solutions.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years in fire alarm design, NICET I with plans to obtain NICET II within 2 years, and strong AutoCAD and MS Office

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years experience in Fire Alarm design.
• NICET I Fire Alarm certification with willingness to obtain NICET II within 2 years.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and NFPA 72 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design fire alarm systems for buildings with floorplans, riser diagrams, device locations, and BOMs.
• Perform peer reviews of engineering documents.
• Recommend productivity improvements and cost reductions.
• Assist selecting cost-effective products and installation methods.
• Provide electrical calculations including voltage drop and conduit fills.
