Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Design Engineer to develop and design fire alarm solutions for commercial buildings in the Central region in the United States. You will prepare floor plans, riser diagrams, device wiring details, and BOMs to meet project requirements and contract documents.

The role requires 3+ years of fire alarm design experience, NICET I certification (NICET II within 2 years), and the ability to read electrical diagrams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in Fire Alarm design.
• Knowledge of NFPA 72 and fire codes.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams.
• NICET I certification with willingness to obtain NICET II within 2 years.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design fire alarm systems for buildings, including floor plans, riser diagrams, wiring details, and panel layouts.
• Prepare materials lists, BOMs, and sequences of operations to meet project specs.
• Perform peer reviews of engineering drawings and calculations.
• Suggest productivity improvements and cost-saving measures.
• Assist in selecting products and installation methods for cost-effective solutions.
