Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Design Engineer / Estimator in Tampa, FL to support commercial projects across Florida. The role entails design, estimating, and preconstruction activities from plans through project handoff, with on-site responsibilities and a competitive benefits package.

Candidate will work with AutoCAD and NFPA standards, performing quantity takeoffs and BOMs, with potential NICET certification as a nice-to-have.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in fire alarm design and/or estimating.
• Proficient in quantity takeoffs and Bills of Materials.
• Ability to review blueprints and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and applicable fire alarm codes.
• Experience with commercial fire alarm projects.

Job Details

We are seeking a Fire Alarm professional with experience in Design, Estimating, and Preconstruction. This position will support projects from initial plans and specifications through estimating, design, and project handoff.

Must Have:

• Fire Alarm Design and/or Estimating experience
• AutoCAD
• Bluebeam
• Quantity Takeoffs and Bills of Materials
• Blueprint and Specification Review
• Knowledge of NFPA Standards and applicable Fire Alarm Codes
• Commercial Fire Alarm experience

Nice To Have:

• NICET Certification
• Fire Alarm Inspection or field experience
• Mission Critical experience
• Low Voltage Systems experience
