CAD Drafter - Fire Alarm Systems At Johnson Controls, you will support the design of fire alarm systems that help protect people, property, and critical spaces. In this role, you will provide CAD drafting and design support for the design department. You will prepare technical drawings and documentation for fire alarm system installations using provided tools and libraries, helping ensure project information is clear, organized, and ready for internal use.
Partner closely with designers to translate project requirements into accurate CAD work that supports the full design process. Take ownership of your assignments, follow department processes, and keep work aligned with project priorities and deadlines. Stay close to the details, ask clear questions, and remove obstacles early so internal customers get timely support. Work as one team with designers, peers, and stakeholders by communicating openly, solving problems respectfully, and supporting shared goals. Look for ways to improve your work every day through accuracy, candor, and practical problem‑solving. Handle administrative tasks with care and consistency so drawings, documentation, and handoffs remain reliable.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $26-$37 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
