Collective is seeking a Lead Product Designer to own Accounting & Payroll, translating complex financial workflows into clear, trustworthy, fast product experiences. You will partner with product managers, engineers, and marketing to ship polished designs that scale.

With 5+ years in product design, you’ll shape strategy, set visual standards, and contribute to a robust design system. This hybrid SF role combines in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer.
• Experience in fintech or consumer tech is preferred.
• Strong UX and visual design skills, including copy writing and systems design.
• Ability to translate complex problems into simple, engaging solutions.
• Experience delivering high-quality, visually polished work with intuitive patterns.

Responsibilities

• Understand customers’ needs, objectives, and context to shape experiences.
• Set a high bar for visual polish and intuitive interaction patterns.
• Define problems and explore broad-to-narrow solution paths.
• Design, launch, and iterate products that advance Collective’s mission.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, design, and marketing to ship at scale.
• Balance quality with execution velocity through informed tradeoffs.
• Grow and refine a robust design system.
