Job summary

OnePay is seeking a Legal & Compliance Intern to support contracts, regulatory research, policy development, and cross‑functional compliance reviews. You will work on the intersection of financial services regulation, data privacy, AI governance, and marketing compliance in a fast‑moving fintech.

You will be paired with a mentor, collaborate with product, risk, privacy, and marketing teams, and gain hands‑on experience in regulatory risk management during a summer internship in NYC.

Qualifications

• Currently in law school with interest in financial services, regulatory, data privacy, AI, or marketing and advertising law.
• Coursework, clinic, or project experience touching financial services regulation, data privacy law, AI or emerging-technology regulation, or advertising and marketing law.
• Completed at least one internship or clerkship, or equivalent projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with contract drafting and review across initiatives.
• Conduct regulatory research and help develop/update policies (privacy notices, AI governance).
• Assist with compliance reviews and cross-functional projects (data privacy assessments, TCPA/Can-Spam, UDAAP).
• Support marketing compliance reviews and substantiation activities.
