Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior privacy and data protection legal leader in the United States to guide AI compliance and regulatory adherence. The role partners with business, product, engineering, and executive teams to balance legal risk with innovation.

You will draft and refine privacy policies, advise on technology transactions, and lead governance programs to ensure compliance with GLBA, FCRA, CCPA, and related laws. This is a high-impact in-house role reporting to the Chief Legal Officer.

Qualifications

Licensed to practice law in the United States and eligible to work full-time without sponsorship.
8+ years of legal experience, with strong background in privacy/data protection and technology transactions.
Experience advising on AI governance and regulatory compliance for products/services.

Responsibilities

Lead the organization's privacy, data protection, and AI compliance initiatives.
Advise business and product teams on the legal implications of AI-enabled products and services.
Develop and maintain internal privacy and AI governance policies, procedures, and compliance playbooks.
Draft and update terms of service and privacy policies.
Review, draft, and negotiate vendor and SaaS agreements focusing on privacy and data protection.
Provide legal guidance on consumer privacy laws and regulatory requirements.
Assess data collection, consent, retention, and usage across products and platforms.
Coordinate with outside counsel on complex matters as the primary internal privacy resource.
