Job summary

Fullsteam is seeking a Corporate Counsel to support a fast-growing fintech platform focused on software and payment processing. You will serve as a trusted advisor to business teams on commercial and technology transactions, including software licensing, vendor and customer agreements, and privacy initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of experience handling technology and commercial transactions, with JD and US bar, and the ability to balance legal risk with business needs while

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active U.S. state bar.
• 3–5 years of experience in commercial and technology transactions.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Knowledge of payments, software, technology, or commercial transactions.
• Understanding of contract law, indemnification, liability limits, IP, and data security.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage software licensing, payment processing, vendor, reseller, partner, and customer agreements.
• Advise on contractual risk including indemnification, liability limits, warranties, IP, data security, and privacy.
• Support payment processing operations and guidance on card network rules and PCI DSS compliance.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and security on legal/regulatory considerations for new products.
• Assist privacy and data protection efforts (CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, state laws).
• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and processes for efficiency.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice to internal stakeholders on commercial and strategic matters.
• Support governance, acquisitions, vendor management, regulatory examinations, and special projects.
• Monitor regulatory developments in software, fintech, and payments and advise on impacts.
