Job summary

GoCardless Ltd is seeking a responsible professional to own and manage the end-to-end controls framework across Payments Operations, Billing and Credit Control. The role involves coordinating Safeguarding and SOC1 audits, working closely with auditors and the Regulatory Compliance team.

The ideal candidate has experience in regulated FinTech environments, strong communication skills, and a track record of designing and testing effective controls to balance compliance with operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulated environments, preferably financial services or FinTech.
• Experience designing, implementing and testing controls.
• Strong communication and ability to explain controls to auditors.
• Knowledge of three lines of defence and collaborating with Regulatory Compliance teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end controls framework for Payments Operations, Billing and Credit Control.
• Lead annual Safeguarding and SOC1 audits, coordinating with auditors and collecting evidence.
• Collaborate with 1st line operations to implement and update controls.
• Improve efficiency by standardising, automating or removing controls.
