Job summary

Renishaw seeks a FinOps Site Reliability Engineer in the United States to embed cost governance into cloud platforms, automation, and observability. You will lead cost optimization across Azure and AWS, build IaC and GitOps pipelines, and mentor engineers on platform excellence and FinOps practices.

You will collaborate with AI, machine learning, and GPU environments to balance performance with cost, drive governance, and deliver reliable, scalable cloud services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or Systems Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Proven experience implementing cloud automation and observability solutions.
• Experience leading cloud cost optimization and FinOps initiatives.
• Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or Generative AI platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead cloud cost optimization initiatives across Azure and AWS.
• Drive optimization initiatives involving compute, storage, AI workloads, networking, and managed services.
• Support enterprise AI, Generative AI, and machine learning platforms.
• Implement governance, monitoring, and financial accountability for AI services and GPU-enabled environments.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud automation solutions.
• Build CI/CD and GitOps capabilities that improve platform delivery and consistency.
• Eliminate manual processes through automation and self-service capabilities.
• Promote engineering efficiency through reusable patterns, templates, and tooling.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across cloud, FinOps, and platform initiatives.
• Lead technology evaluations, proofs of concept, and platform modernization efforts.
• Drive adoption of engineering, governance, and operational excellence standards.
