Job summary

Sun Chemical Corporation is seeking a detail‑oriented Inventory/Procurement specialist to own site inventory control and material planning. You will manage stock for finished goods, raw materials, and intermediates, along with documentation and reporting to ensure uninterrupted production.

You will lead physical inventories, validate requisitions, release POs, and collaborate with Customer Service and Supply Chain to meet targets. ERP experience and MS Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience in inventory control, procurement, planning, or office administration.
• Experience working with an ERP system.
• Proficient in MS Office; specifically Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Manage site inventory levels, inventory accuracy, and stock position control.
• Lead annual physical inventories, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate MRP results, validate procurement requisitions, and release purchase orders.
• Manage stock levels for MTS items, finished goods, raw materials, and intermediates.
• Generate batch tickets and production documentation.
• Own Dormancy, Scrap, ARMS/Return, and non-conforming inventory processes.
• Maintain daily production, shipping, and OTIF reporting.
• Coordinate with Customer Service regarding delivery issues.
• Partner with Supply Chain on inventory targets and reorder points.
• Process vendor invoices and purchasing transactions through Ariba.
• Manage plant supply purchasing, payroll/timekeeping support, and uniform programs.
• Provide basic plant IT and administrative support as required.

Position Summary

Owns site inventory control, material planning, and office administration activities to ensure accurate inventory management, uninterrupted production support, and efficient execution of office operations. Serves as the primary site resource for inventory accuracy, procurement administration, vendor management, and production reporting.

Core Responsibilities (Directly Accountable)

• Manage site inventory levels, inventory accuracy, and stock position control.
• Lead annual physical inventories, investigate variances, and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate MRP results, validate procurement requisitions, and release purchase orders.
• Manage stock levels for MTS items, finished goods, raw materials, and intermediates.
• Generate batch tickets and production documentation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration (Consulted / Supporting)

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2+ years experience in inventory control, procurement, planning, or office administration
• Experience working with an ERP system
• Proficient in MS Office; specifically Excel and Word
