Job summary

Pratt & Whitney's Columbus Forge team seeks a Finishing Working Lead to guide daily operations, providing technical expertise and hands-on leadership for premium aerospace manufacturing. You will help develop team members while ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Shift: 1st, Monday-Thursday, 6:00 am–4:30 pm. Responsibilities include coordinating workflow, coaching staff, reading blueprints, and using precision tools to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 6+ years of manufacturing experience, technical or military training, or military training experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, perform shop math, and use precision measuring tools.
• Basic computer skills and experience with manufacturing systems.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement mindset.

Job Summary

Join Pratt & Whitney's Columbus Forge team as a Finishing Working Lead and play a key role in leading daily operations that support some of the world's most advanced aerospace products. In this hands-on leadership role, you will provide technical expertise, support daily production activities, troubleshoot process challenges, and help develop team members while ensuring safety, quality, and delivery requirements are met.

This is a 1st Shift position: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm

What You Will Do

• Lead daily Finishing operations by coordinating workflow, supporting production priorities, and ensuring safety, quality, and delivery goals are met.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members while partnering with supervisors on scheduling, training, and career development.
• Perform hands-on manufacturing work as needed, including reading blueprints, following work instructions, and using precision measuring tools.
• Track work in process, lead tier meetings, order tools and supplies, and support other daily administrative activities.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance needs through ANDON Systems or MTS and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with all environmental, health, and safety policies while performing other duties to support business needs.

Qualifications You Must Have

• 6+ years of manufacturing experience, technical or military training, or military training experience
