Job summary

Prototek in Wisconsin is seeking a Finishing Technician II for the 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 8a-5p). This onsite role supports daily production, applying intermediate finishing, painting, and post-processing on prototypes and production parts.

Responsibilities include reading prints, performing post-processing, operating HVLP paint equipment, and inspecting parts for conformance. A high school diploma and 1+ year finishing experience are preferred.

• Comfortable working hands-on in a production environment.

We’re looking for an Finishing Technician II to support daily production, apply intermediate to advanced finishing techniques to prototype and production parts, including finishing, painting, post processing techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret prints, specifications, and 3D files to identify finishing requirements.
• Perform intermediate and advanced post-processing and finishing on printed, cast urethane, and machined parts.
• Operate HVLP paint equipment to apply high-quality finishes.
• Inspect completed parts to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards
• Follow prints and finishing procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace

Requirements

• High school diploma required; technical degree preferred
• 1+ year experience as a Finishing Technician (preferred)
• Basic understanding of 3D printing technologies and materials
• Comfortable working hands-on in a production environment
