Job summary

LM Wind Power in Grand Forks, North Dakota is looking for a candidate to perform various tasks in the finishing process of the blade. Responsibilities include grinding blades, applying gelcoat, painting, and maintaining safety standards. Candidates should have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and operate basic hand tools and machinery. A High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required. Benefits include medical coverage, retirement plans, and paid holidays. Shift hours are 6pm-2:30am.

Qualifications

• Requires usage of respirator.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grinding blade to work instruction specifications.
• Grind between quality marks and apply gelcoat to designated locations.
• Matting to give blades a clean finish.
• Painting and sanding.
• Apply tape to edge of blade to avoid overspray of gel coat.
• Apply auto mask to the shell of the blade.
• Apply filler/mud to the lead edge of the blade, then scrape off excess so all voids are filled.
• Turn the blade utilizing machine.
• Wear designated personal protective equipment and follow all health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain 5s standards.

Skills

Ability to lift or carry objects or materials up to 40 lbs.

Ability to push/pull heavy objects.

Ability to stand for extended periods on concrete floors.

Ability to work with hands for an extended period.

Ability to operate basic hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery.
