Job Summary: As part of ceramics process operations, the Finishing Technician is responsible for finishing, patching, and repairing ceramic parts, ensuring quality and compliance with specifications. The role involves using magnification tools to validate quality.

Responsibilities:

1. Finish intricate ceramic parts, addressing visual and feature indications.
2. Perform ceramic core finishing and inspection per customer and regulatory standards.
3. Follow work instructions and SOPs with a focus on quality.
4. Meet production and efficiency goals.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and maintain quality.
6. Maintain a safe, clean workspace following 6S standards.
7. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years in visual inspection in manufacturing.
• Experience with microscopes or magnification for detailed parts.
• High dexterity for handling small, detailed surfaces.
• Ability to work closely with engineers on experiments.
• Attention to detail in visual and written communication.
• Flexible schedule for potential staggered shifts.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Preferred Experience:

• At least 3 years in pharma, bio, med device, defense, or aerospace manufacturing.
• Experience with quality inspection processes.

Physical Requirements:

• Work 8 hours under magnification.
• Handle and transport fragile parts.
• Move across a ~6,000 sq ft production floor.
• Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as needed.
• Good vision and hearing.
