Staffworks, Inc. is seeking a Finishing Technician in the Town of Manheim, NY. The role starts at $16.50 per hour with a raise to $17 after a 90-day probationary period, and a Monday–Thursday schedule from 6:00am to 4:30pm.

The technician applies finish components per specifications with accuracy and professionalism. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of manufacturing experience, can operate machinery and assemble parts, and demonstrates strong reading, measuring, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• One to three years manufacturing work experience.
• Ability to operate machinery.
• Ability to manually assemble.
• Must be willing and able to learn.
• Proficient in operating measuring tools including rulers, calculators, scales, Zahn cups, thermometer, stopwatch, and measuring tape.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot issues.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as specifications and procedures.
• Must have good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 15lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsabilités

• Operate finishing machinery including bone rubber, flamer, knob engraver, cupper, striper, pad printer, drill press, clam shell sealer, and shrink wrap oven.
• Assemble decorative finishing components including dip colors, pad printing, labeling, knob engraving, laser fill, handle taping, striping as defined on the traveler and work order.
• Apply graphics using water decal, solution decal, or sticker application methods in accordance with traveler and work orders.
• Perform final decal inspection and removal of decal film.
• Package products for shipping, including boxing, clam shelling, shrink wrap, vacuum sealing, warranty cards, warning stickers, etc according to specifications listed on the work order.

General Overview
