Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Finishing Technician to support the post-production process in our precision machining department. This role primarily focuses on micro blasting and part finishing for components coming off CNC machines. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail, ensuring parts meet our high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

·Perform micro blasting of all parts exiting the CNC machines, ensuring consistent surface finish and quality.

·Visually inspect parts to verify removal of burrs and meet dimensional and cosmetic standards.

·Clean parts using an ultrasonic cleaner, as required.

·Support blasting and finishing of Teflon parts, maintaining proper handling procedures for delicate materials.

·Collaborate closely with machinists, quality inspectors, and engineers to ensure a smooth hand-off from production to finishing.

·Operate and maintain finishing equipment in a safe and organized manner.

·As time allows, assist with entry-level machining tasks to support overall shop operations and develop machining skills.

·Follow safety procedures, quality protocols, and standard operating procedures consistently.

Critical Competencies for Success

·Prior experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment preferred.

·Strong mechanical aptitude is essential.

·Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

·Comfortable working with small parts and hand tools.

·Experience or willingness to learn about CNC machining and finishing techniques.

·Strong communication and teamwork skills.

·Familiarity with CNC machines or post-machining processes.

·Interest in developing machining knowledge and advancing technical skills.
