Job summary

Resource Label Group in Fountain Valley, CA is seeking a Finishing Operator to operate and set up label inspector machines, perform visual quality control, and slit printed material into specified widths.

You will read job jackets, select cores and rewind methods, inspect products for color, size, die cut and packaging, perform basic maintenance, and complete paperwork to ensure shipments meet customer specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of manufacturing, printing or packaging experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to read and interpret ruler, scales and other measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Receives job assignments and reads job specifications; selects cores and rewind method.
• Reviews job jacket to ensure finishing, packaging, and shipping specs are addressed.
• Inspect products to ensure quality integrity and package products.
• Observes material flow through machine to detect irregular cutting and winding.
• Ensure quality of work to include color, size, die cut, perforations, print and quantity of packaged items being shipped.
• Assist in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging of converting jobs.
