Resource Label Group is seeking a Finishing Operator to operate label inspector machines, ensuring visual quality and precise slitting of printed material. This role reports to the production team and involves setup, quality checks, and packaging for shipment.

Located in Birmingham, AL, this full-time position requires basic math, the ability to stand on the line, and the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds. Opportunity for growth in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Must have basic reading and interpretation of safety rules and operating instructions.
• Ability to read rulers, scales and measurement devices.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, printing or packaging is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives job assignments, reads specs, and selects dies, cores, and rewind methods.
• Reviews job jacket to ensure finishing, packaging and shipping specs are addressed.
• Inspects products for quality and packages them.
• Monitors material flow to detect irregular cutting and winding.
• Ensures quality of color, size, die cut, perforations, print, and quantity.
• Assists in cutting, collating, wrapping, and packaging of converting jobs.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machines.
• Removes or replaces blades on inspection machines.
• Completes paperwork and packages finished goods for shipment.
