SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Finishing department performs specific tasks that enhance the aesthetic characteristics of a part. This position requires running specific finishing operations in a safe and quality manner with limited supervision. The Finishing Operator I must gain and apply lean and finishing equipment knowledge and techniques to deliver on CI expectations among other things, in collaboration with the area Team Lead, Supervisor, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs all assigned finishing department operations
  • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures
  • Performs, parts labeling, parts washing, de-burring, sanding, packaging tasks
  • Completes and maintains accurate paperwork/ labor reporting
  • Assists in other areas as needed.
  • Ability to read and understand operation specification sheets
  • Ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble small objects
  • Cross functional team builder/player with high levels of professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm
  • Experience working independently with little supervision
  • Need to be detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to make sound decisions
  • Must be able to work accurately and efficiently in a fast work environment that has the potential to change due to regulatory and business needs
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

  • Handgun and rifle knowledge
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Vocational/Technical Degree

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

This position requires compliance with ITAR requirement. Must be a "U.S. Person" (per ITAR 120.15) and are required to show proof substantiating this upon being hired.
